calcium mass score

The calcium mass score was introduced to determine the absolute mass of coronary artery calcium with the help of a cardiac calibration phantom and the use of correction factors .

The method itself comprises the integration of signal above a given threshold . Even though, higher sensitivity and precision has been demonstrated compared to the Agatston score this method has not been widely used in the clinical environment or in medical research so far .
